This year is the 10th anniversary of the first screening of my fim, The Last Ring Home. The World premiere was in November 2016 at the Queens Club in London, in front of about 200 people, including in the front row, both of my parents, and many distinguished members of society. The film has been aired every year on PBS and/or the World Channel, as well as over spells on History Hit (Dan Snow) and History Channel in Australia and New Zealand.
In celebration of these 10 years, I will be hosting at least a couple of screenings. The first of these will be on Jan 17 in London (Canary Wharf). Let me know by DM or a comment below if you'd like to know about upcoming screenings!
Also, if you're in the US and have yet to see the film, don't hesitate to contact your local PBS station and ask for it to be aired. It's getting some prime time in January!
PS On the date of publication of this post, Jan 9 2026, I note that it is the 81st anniversary of the death of my grandfather along with over 300 POWs onboard the Enoura Maru, in Formosa Bay, Taiwan. A devastating day never to be forgotten.
